Try running your jpg through a free online image compressor/optimizer. I always compress before uploading to social media (or anywhere online, really), since it drastically reduces the size and helps prevent image theft.

I usually use this one, but it doesn't seem to be working right now. There are plenty of others though.

@Frogpunzel these are looking good she reminds me of ladybug, if you’ve never heard of it, it’s miraculous ladybug I believe it’s on Disney it may have been a middle grade graphic novel I’m not sure, anyway super cute kids show. And can’t wait to see how it turns out!

I have the idea of gravy that was left out for to long and became sentient. Kind of a silly thought, but it lends itself to many stories. My favorite is the gravy boat plane.Gravydone.jpg

@Maureen-Henry-Artist awe thankyou! It’s been a challenging road to be on, but I try to focus on the good things that have come my way since the injury. My left is pretty comfortable now, even though the tendency is there to want to put that pencil into my right. But, like everything else in life, you work with what you’ve got.

My aim here is for a baby who has the powers to “grow up” , but also to revert to his natural age. I’ve played around with positioning each stage, while trying to keep continuity between young and old. Is it working? I’m not 100% on the body position for grown up, but I’d like to show him reaching for something a baby would covet.

I think she needs something more that says superhero right now she’s still just a librarian to me. So mask or cape something, love the style though👍🏼

@Stephanie-H thanks so much! I was originally going to have the driver off to the side relaxing with some lemonade. My intent was just to make him look lazy. I think I'm trying to simplify the piece, I may have taken out too much.

So cool! So she's like the Green Lantern with the ability to materialise any object she can think of? That would make for an interesting character sheet!

I was thinking the same as you, but thankfully the Critique Arena promt says we can include an "action" pose, so it won't just a hero standing there doing nothing. I'm not sure if you'll have the space to add additional characters though, so yeah the trampoline might be too much.

@Asyas_illos aaaahhhhhh I'd see people showing work on prompts and never understood where they were getting it. I'm not taking classes so I can't really submit anyway but....I'd still like to play with the prompts

@kayleenartlover I love the idea of the Bee Whisperer 🐝 , I think you can get some pretty cute ideas from her interacting with the bees.

@Rebecca-Jensen I did try having the two black and white images on top, so that it read left to right, but it didn't connect well to the center pose where she has her magic. I could definitely play with it some more though.

@Asyas_illos thanks! Last go round with covid, only I got it. I was really sick, but I was able to watch classes and make the best of isolating. This go round was a whole different ball game.

Thanks for the feedback! I did fiddle with the Photoshop version some more, but also made an analog version (watercolor, gouache, colored pencil + Photoshop finished). I found it easier to find that 'fade back' transparent yet textured look with real watercolor. Plus it's fun. 🙂
