I ended up with a similar pose for the witch but I find your cat has a great flow, holding on with the right paw instead of the left. I will try to fix that.
for now, I've started inking it, (inktober, and because I always wanted to try inking with a ball pen) but I might finish the picture and colour it later so I can still change some details

Hi, everyone! (4th of Inktober)
Because of visiting family this weekend I had to skip the 3rd of Inktober. Today I made a fast piece by redoing my Ede character. I intended to practice working with black and white areas and shaping by leaving out, creating the illustion of white lines. What do you say? Any ideas for corrections?

Hello everyone, I'm not a pro so my advise is only my opinion and experimentation, so don't take this as expert advise. I did some tweaking of the pose and added a dynamic pose as the mouse. It's really, really exaggerated. I either butchered the image or made some surgical work to it, but it's up to you if I've helped or not.

No Problem. One tip that should help with digital painting is mess around with creating brushes that have a nice feel, that work the way you like to work so they feel natural.

Great work, I like your imaginative stuff. Your correct, push your lessons using reference to create a final imaginative piece. Good luck with that.

I think I learn a lot, not only when I create a finished piece, but when I show that piece to others, get feedback, and make changes. It can be nerve-wracking, and sometimes its hard to choose what feedback to follow and what to set aside, but it really has helped take my work to a higher level. I hope you feel the same with your updated piece :-).

Once again you have come up with such a clever piece. I really enjoy all those big eyes peering through the water to look at the girl on the leaf!

I have a bad habit of hiding thing in my work tho lol. People always ask me why, and I say I want people to find it especially kids when I do children's book illustration and it's true.

The main thing that bothers me is I don't know why this is all going on, if theres any reason at all. If its supposed to crazy and wacky then the bone chaser and the flying bone are very surreal but then the landscape isn't as crazy.

As for the technical qualities, the composition is too balanced I feel. And the bone chaser is right in the middle of the page, so we are missing out on the action of the chase. I also don't read the wings on the bone as wings immediately, rather more as a bow.
