Thanks a lot @Maile McCarthy for the tips. I am using Yiynova 19" at the moment, and it seems to be doing pretty good job so far. I'm going to try your tips later and see if I can get a smoother blend.

The tone is almost good, but if you wanted to keep their nationality, you need to make their skin darker. Faces are so bright you even lost shadows and highlights, which makes it flat.

Second thing watch - your line when doing wrinkles and muscles on face, you push a bit too hard. It almost looks like they have mustaches and you kind of lost their expressions. The boy looks evil and the girl just strange.

But the rest is awesome! The folds on clothes, their pose, great stuff. Just please do something with their faces.

first one is strong, but background character is so bad compared with Astrid, which is dinamyc and with better forms and shapes, that monster is so flat, play with it

last picture of the moon is so strong, but what's down, ufo and character do not integrate

Awesome, @Lee-White thank you! I will definitely take more time on the color studies and show them with my next progress piece. Most of my studio is packed for a big move this weekend so it may be a few days before I am set up, but I look forward to playing more with the piece and starting fresh with your advice in mind. 😃

I vote 5 and 8, leaning more towards 8 for adventure appeal and being curious where he is going. Lee's thumbnails are fantastic, loved seeing the progression and the other artist's samples.

Hi Will, no problem. As you said 'Enjoy the process' I really did. Next month ill join in again. And also on the forum we can get tips and tricks for artwork! It will be really helpfull, to get critique during the proces. Im working on a childrensbook, and would love to get some tips.
