@Kendra-Minadeo I love it! Total awww material.

I got right away that it was a super friendly cat on top of a grumpy one. I must spend too much time "researching" cute cat pictures on the internets...

I like the choice to use an oval border (instead of rectangular). I think it adds a lot.

      Great work!

@Lee White, I totally see what you mean I am going to work on her right hand a bit more. My intention was to make it looked as if her did not know what to do but stretching her arms and legs out at that terrifying moment to block and lock the eyes of the wolf on her.
This is another version however I am still going to work on it.
Thank you for everyone time and comment, have a great weekend!

Hi Ben! Since others have mentioned color and mediums, I thought I might mention the pose. Right now the character is very off balanced, do to her stance, and the fact that her feet don't seem to be on the same plane. People normally stand with their weight shifted to one leg, which your character seems to be doing, but her leg is too far out to support her. Also, the above shoulder tends to come down towards the raised (weight bearing) hip in order to counter balance, but hers is going away from the hip instead. Since that sounds way too complicated written out I did a quick paintover to explain what I mean. Hope that helps! margot_paintover.jpg

I also like the head in the middle better. It has a very surreal feeling, reminds me a bit of the Oryx and Crake book cover. I would suggest brightening your image up a bit. Right now everything is really dark, even the stars. They should be glowing, right? Play with the levels and colors a little to see what you like. I also really like the scarf dissolving into stars, it's a nice touch.

I guess the only other thing I would consider is who your audience is. I really like the image, but it has a fine-arts feel to it that seems more for adults. I think children tend to identify more with faces. I'm not an expert on children's books though, so take it with a grain of salt.

The funny thing is that he's called one punch man is because he can destroy anyone or anything with one punch, but the creators wanted him to look generic 🙂 regards
