Webtoons.com is having a contest for a 60+ panel ACTION short story. The winner gets 50K/paid comic on their web platform. See their website for more details.

I may just do this as my comic has an action packed scene coming up. Good luck comic creators and If you do decide to do this it would be great to help each other here. Maybe Jake can give us some pointers on action sequences.

I figured out how to update my signature. And it updates retroactively! So, bonus!
Now I just need to find a cover image. No pressure 😬

@Heather-Boyd Thanks Heather! Really appreciate your feedback. Yeah I'm having fun with stuff like rim lighting; it's not perfect and I'm a bit inconsistent with it, but to paraphrase the SVS guys, it's okay to do what works even if it's not exactly right 🙂

Hey everybody!

I’m working on a 4 page autobiographical comic about being a military brat. My dad would go away on missions, and if it was something big he’d tell my mom to “Watch the news.”
Page 1 is establishing the family room and dad saying goodbye while boy watches tv.

Here is some of page 2:
Page 2 is a few days later as the family is having dinner. The boy asks his mom when dad will be home. I put in an anxious heart rate and then she answers after gaining her composure.

I have been working my new original comic book, Battle Chronicles for a few months and just recently purchased and created my website through SquareSpace. Currently, I upload 2 pages every Friday, but I am wondering if I should change my strategy?

Here is a little background information on what I have done so far:
Issue I (34 Pages+Cover) - All pages available for free since I started my website in June.
Issue II (22 Pages+Cover) - Finished and currently being uploaded two pages at a time every Friday.
Issue III (24 Pages+Cover) - Drawn and inked, need to be colored and lettered.
Issue IV (24 Pages+Cover) - Currently writing and working on thumbnails.

Should I change things up, or just stay the course? I am still new to this, but I just want to make sure that I am constantly self-evaluating and pushing myself for the best results!
