The BUZZ-INN wip

@lizardillo Haha, I feel your pain. Detail can be fun for the sketch, not so fun for the final render!

I have been in a whole world of hexagon hell with this. I think mapping it out on a perspective grid has sucked quite a lot of life out of it, I've overdone the hexagons a bit now. I think I need another pass with some more organic shapes mixed in, with a bit more variety of size and a bit more imagination further than hexagons. I know bees are busy but this is all far too busy now! I also need to find a better way of attaching it to the tree. I think I'm going to be down to the wire again! Feedback and suggestions always appreciated. Thank you.

 This is super!

 This looks great!

@lizardillo This should win Critique Arena based solely on the 'b' saloon doors.

@ajillustrates Thanks. I wondered if anyone would spot those

I really hope this inn's slogan is "You can Buzz Inn, or you can buzz off."
-

 @Kevintreaccar Love it!

@Kevintreaccar Liquor stores are called off-licences in UK so my take-out hatch might be called the 'Buzz Off' (licence) or the Buzz-out. Although neither of those really make sense

@lizardillo As long as people get the point, it doesn’t have to make perfect, technical sense. I love the idea of The Buzz Out at the Buzz Inn. Buzz Inn, Buzz Out or buzz off

Well after a good few rounds of revisions and changes and tantrums and starting again, I have eventually finished the line work. I may have to go over some parts with a lighter line as the new template is making it a bit fuzzy and it hard to see some details. hoping to get the colour done tonight and tomorrow when I can fit it in. I'm not sure about the beehive chimneys coming out of the sides of the top part. Should I remove them? Thanks

@lizardillo Wowzers! You've gotten so much detail done. I love it

 Amazing piece.

WOW!!!!!!! Soooo amazing, love all the detail!!!!

@lizardillo wow! I really love your design here!!

I think the chimneys are working. Just like the whole rest of the thing.

This is completely charming. I really like your line work here, and I love seeing how you worked through silhouettes and roughs to get to this point. I like the 2 little chimneys at the top- lots of busy, angled, active things to look at. My one comment is that the attachment of the structure to the branch above looks a little awkward, mainly because the top curve of the structure and the lower right part of the branch share a tangent that makes the branch seem squeezed.

Hi All, Thanks for the feedback. I have drawn back over with a thinner brush to try and keep the detail crisper. @Kevintreaccar I actually deleted the chimneys before seeing this but I have added them back in as chimney 'flower' pots. @Valerie-Light I have had a look at the branch connection again and gone back to a string loop to give a bit of space between the branch. Thanks for pointing this out. Hope this looks a little better. Thanks again everyone. It's a race to colour it now but I have really enjoyed this (eventually - after all of the frustrated revisions ). The wooden cross beams will go on last, they may be a bit too much. ). The wooden cross beams will go on last, they may be a bit too much.Looking forward to having a good look through the prompt thread later and seeing everyone's entries.

@lizardillo I don't know how the colours will go, but I am Pretty sure this will be a winning piece. Congrats in advance!

@Georgios-Christopoulos thank you. I’m not sure if I’ve put too much on here to be honest, but I’ve enjoyed myself creating it. I love yours too. That shark on the top of the lighthouse has such a great expression.
